READING I currently am reading “Dragonfly in Amber,” by Diana Gabaldon. This is the second book in her Outlander series and I love the mix of history and romance. The details that Gabaldon infuses in her work brings about a clear picture of the scene like I am really there. The story is the continuation of her story about Jamie and Claire, a love story, that has our two main characters from completely different times. Not times as in a few minutes behind or ahead of each other but as far as a century apart, until Claire is hurtled to 1743 through ancient stone circles. She embarks on many great adventures and into Scotland that is on the brink of war.
SINGING I was lucky enough to be born in a musical family, one that enjoyed singing and harmonizing. So, of course when my love of singing was discovered my parents decided to enroll me in voice lessons, choir and different musical avenues to encourage my love for music. Through the years I have performed solos, in plays and in various choirs. However, now I sing mostly in my shower or to the kids I babysit to get them to sleep. My love of singing has not diminished however!
WATCHING I love to watch various shows on Netflix. Currently, I am hooked on a wide range of shows including “Hart of Dixie,” “Merlin,” and “Blue Bloods.” Hart of Dixie is a series about Zoe Hart, a New Yorker, who accepts an offer to work as a general practitioner in Bluebell, Alabama. The show follows Dr. Hart through her many interesting and, often funny, adventures in a small southern town. Merlin however is a British fantasy-adventure television program that follows the adventures of the young wizard Merlin and his relationship with King Arthur. Finally, the last show that I watch is Blue Bloods, an American police drama series, that follows an Irish-American family of New York City law enforcement, including Police Commissioner, Police Officers and District Attorney.
WEARING Currently I living in anything that sports the logo of my drill team! Mainly because we are currently in our fall Candidacy stage of the season and I want to encourage people to join my team. Also, all of our clothes are equally comfortable.
